The exhibition is organised in association with Lørenskog Kunstforening and will include paintings, drawings, mixed media & video installation – with painting performance accompanied by live music at the opening.  The exhibition brings together various mediums that offer an overview of Morte’s distinctive visual language. Based in Oslo, Nick Morte is mostly known to Norwegian audience as a participant of "Portrettmesterskapet" show on NRK TV (Season 1,  2023) Besides classical painting, Nick’s professional experiences include award-winning tattooing, live painting performances, designing, musical work and significant legal victory advocating for artists’ rights in Norway. Exploring what he describes as the “dark side of beautiful”, Nick blends realism with abstract,  hallucinatory elements, weaving together themes of death, vulnerability and transformation through symbolism in a dream-like atmosphere. At the opening, Nick Morte will perform live painting, accompanied by own music as a “musical illustration” to his work, developed in collaboration with producer and keyboardist Geir Bratland. Throughout the exhibition period, visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in painting workshops and attend an artist talk with Nick Morte, providing deeper insight into his process and practice. Opening event: November 14th, 13:00 Finissage: December 12th, 13:00 Kunstsalen, Lørenskog Hus (Festplassen 1, 1473 Lørenskog, Norway)
